Scientists all over SimNation are looking at the latest development in the SimLOOK house with eager. Will there be a baby? Will the testSim in love be rewarded with love? Or will she be attacked by the other woman desiring the same man? New report released today!

Everybody is talking about the romance which occurred in the SimLOOK house on Day37! But nobody seems to pay attention to the fact that there are 2 women wanting the same man! Scientists all over SimNation has lately paid interest to the SimLOOK project and what's going on inside the house right now. Depending on a few details, there might be written Sim history within end of December, when this project is planned to close.

This time Agnes' journal includes a full day's IN THE SPOT report (Day38). On the project's main web page you will see the schedule of all the IN THE SPOT days, and there you can even help deciding who should be next IN THE SPOT.

The moment is here! A testSim did fall in love with one of the other testSims! 

It took place on Day37, in the atrium. Sonia first wanted to hug John, but instead they talked and Sonia started flirting with him! It must have been his tolerant response that made her heart start shining, she was in love! On the Sim scale she liked John 95 while he liked her only 66 back, but we all know how fast things can develop when they first have reached this emotional level of love and affection.

I was so thrilled by getting the news that Sonia had fallen in love with John, I couldn't sleep or eat for days. I, and other scientists with me, spent extra hours in front of the monitors watching the development. I had a dream about seeing a baby being born in the SimLOOK house, although I realize the chances are very small, if present at all.

Sonia and John still have a good relation, and Sonia is still very much in love (96/61), but the ultimate development is missing. John doesn't seem as enthusiastic as Sonia. Will they be just good friends when they leave the house in 10 days, or is there time enough to make them a real couple?

There is another very interesting relation in the house, also including affection but not yet love, and also including John. Another woman, Agnes, has got a very good eye for John, and her affection started growing dramatically from the say Sonia fell in love. On Day40 Agnes likes John +100! but John likes her back only +24 which is hardly appreciating her presence.

With two strong women fighting for the same man, the last 10 days got to be interesting to most of us. Will there be another fight? Will there be a baby? Will John fall in love with either of them before they all leave the house?

The SimLOOK project still surprises us after 40 days. Last report announced that they had a fire and a burglary for the very first time. We were starting to question why no burglar had visited the house, but then it actually happened. We had anxiously watched them grill burgers again and again, waiting for the terrace trash can placed next to the barbecue grill to catch fire, and it certainly did.

Well, this time there's not much to say on the technical side, as the period was filled with pretty ordinary practical stuff; only 2 days after it was repaired, the kitchen sink broke down again. What a poor work by the repairman! We also observed (Day37) that the Maid finally cleaned up 2 dishes that have been left in the library ever since the party on Day30! What a poor service also from her! I should also focus on how the reinstated double bed, piano and computers seem to be repossessed again after just a couple days, so we no longer really go crazy about the reinstated stuff, because the testSims hardly get to use them anyway.

But still, after 40 days, there is one thing that surprises me, the fact that there is still someone in the house earning a skill mark about daily! The total for this 5 days period is a gain of no less than 14 points! That is an average of 2 skill points per test Sim on a very voluntarily basis.

There has been collected a total of 61 skill points for body, creativity and logic, and this doesn't include the points earned by Magdalena. Neither does it include skills for cooking and mechanical, which they were forced to do on the first 2 days of the project. We also observe that nobody volunteers to build their charisma skills. We should also add that we assist them in a way concerning creativity skills, as we replace the easel about every 5 days during night when they are all asleep.

The result is even more impressing when said that just 6 of the testSims have accomplished all these skills, as one testSim is different (find out for yourself who that is) not getting one single skill point during the project, except from studying cooking on Day1! I doubt this would be easy to achieve if a 7 (or rather 6) members household really wanted to gain 14 skill points every 5 days! 

Who would have believed that these testSims would still build their skills after 40 days? We certainly did not.

The headlines announces the new romance taking place between two of the testSims, but there are other news as well. During the past 5 days, there was only one occasion of a testSim falling to sleep on the floor, and just one single bladder accident! In other words, all of them had a pretty great and easy period, which you can read about in the journals. 

A s usual there were a few repossessed items, thanks to over-due bills. Day38 the double bed was repossessed (again), and we reinstated the Brama 2000 computer which got 29 votes from Sims following the project. On the project's account there was then only §16.199 left, will that be enough for the remaining 12 days?

In each test Sim's journal, their worst friendship is listed only if their worst relation is below -10. Best relation is listed only if the friendship is above 20. The all over mood (right side column) refers to a scale from -5 to +5.

At first sight it looks like John did not have much fun this period, only 3 green marks. But the fact is that most of them had 3 or less, meaning John had a pretty good time. At the right you can see he also had a pretty high all over mood at +3.

John actually joined a couple group meals daily, that is more often than any of the others. He has a satisfying relation to all of the others, except he doesn't fancy Rita and Rasputiz, and not Quentin either. The testSim he likes the most is Sonia (+61). And this couple is what everyone has been talking about in the Sims Science office lately. We observed them eating a quiet dinner together in the dining room on Day36, the day before Sonia fell in love. Then John talked about the weather and music, while Sonia talked about ideas from the 60's. After this meal their relation was like (J:57/S:92). The next day Sonia flirted with John, and she fell in love with him. We are not sure whether John has sensed this all, because he likes Sonia a lot less, but still enough for reading her thoughts. After the romance started, they have not spent much time together, and we actually don't know if there is a warmer relation than there used to be, or if this is only inside the heart of Sonia.

during these 5 days, John earned 3 skill points. On Day36 he painted a picture and developed his 1st creativity skill mark, later on the same day he also got 1 body mark for swimming in the pool. On Day40 he played chess and earned his 5th logical skill. He also played a little basket ball.

John used the hot tub almost daily, and he also was playing the slot machine often, although that doesn't provide much fun unless you win. He was in the hot tub with most of the others, but we observed him in the hot tub alone with both Sonia and Agnes, individually. The period included no crisis of any kind to John.

Look at his calendar script! All throughout the last 3 days his all over mood was +4 when checked at midnight. Quentin is having a good period, but will he get any friends? He joined group meals like the others, but except from eating burgers and talking with Sonia on terrace on Day39, Quentin did not spend time with anyone in particular. None of his relations changed much, and although Rasputiz and Sonia like him pretty much, there is no sign from Quentin of liking them back.

Quentin was as usual rather active, and he did a little everything. On Day37 he got his 2nd body skill, and the day after he got a 3rd. On Day40 he painted long enough to get his 2nd creativity skill.

Quentin isn't particularly fun loving, but he gets his fair share. He was often observed playing with the SimRailRoad set in the FUN room. He also spent some time in the hot tub and he was even observed reading in the library, and playing the pinball game.

Socially, Arthur joined group meals daily. He also ate and talked alone with Rita, and with John a few days later. His contact with John has improved and is now back to the nice relation it was earlier in the project (+37/+39). Also his relation to Agnes has improved nicely, although it is still negative (-12/-4). On the other hand his relation to Rita has faded and is no longer considered a possible friendship. 

Arthur likes it in the Gym, he was observed swimming twice all days except Day38 which was the IN THE SPOT day, and Arthur was not followed as close as usual. He gained his 4th body skill on Day36. But he also played basket ball, and on Day39 he was playing chess earning his 5th logical skill mark.

Arthur didn't have very much fun, but he spent some time in the hot tub, and playing train set and pinball.

Sonia had a very special week, or what should we say about the first testSim falling in love? 

Other than that she joined group meals daily, and she had a many interactions with Agnes. There is a plot here that makes us wonder if the testSims are experiencing something that we are not able to catch via the monitors. Sonia is in love with John, we know that, but we didn't think the other testSims knew that. Agnes might have caught it because she has as of a sudden become very fond of John, liking him as much as possible. And now, Sonia and Agnes too are talking and joking together more than ever. Sonia doesn't care about Agnes at all (0), and Agnes likes Sonia only a little (+21). sonia likes Agnes less on Day40 than before they both got very interested in John. From the interactions the past 5 days, we see that Sonia on several occasions have teased and wanting to insult Agnes.

Sonia also likes Quentin pretty much (+34). They talked a lot on the terrace on Day39, but we have no idea what they talked about. We have a feeling that Sonia is building up to something, but we are not sure what it could be.
 

Sonia seems to rule the Gym! 4 out of 5 days she was observed swimming, a total of 9 times she enjoyed the pool. At noon on Day36 she even got herself a body skill mark, her 3rd.

Out of the 7 testSims, Sonia was the one having less fun, basically she was observed in the hot tub twice, and she had a cup of espresso once. On top of this she had some fun from swimming a lot. That's it. But she is in love, perhaps she is to restless to actually have a lot of fun?

Rita did have a rather boring week, but it's not that easy for a shy Sim to join the most social activities. She played chess as usual, and we observed her wanting to jump into the pool but changing her mind. Instead she has been doing a lot of house keeping, and been living a rather uncomplicated life.

She joined a group meal most of the days, but that might be the result of she being the one serving most of those meals, and the others joining her. On Day36 she talked with Quentin in particular, and later on with Arthur. She has absolutely no friends though, and it looks like it's going to be that way.

Rita, Queen of Chess, she played chess for hours all days except Day36. She already reached expert level, but still enjoys it very much. This period Rita also spent some time on painting and on Day36 she got herself another creativity skill mark. She was observed in the Gym wearing swim wear twice, but each time she changed her mind after walking the diving board.
 

Rita must have had some fun from playing chess, but besides that, she was basically using the hot tub on a few occasions and playing the train set.

Agnes had most fun in the house these 5 days, but she also needs a lot to stay in a good mood. She also spent a lot of her time socializing, no wonder as she is the only testSim who not yet earned one single skill point, voluntarily. She joined groupmeals all days, talking with most of the others. On Day36 she was heard singing in the shower, and the staff at Sims Science had to turn down the monitor volume a little. Agnes had a very good period, this time around several of the others laughed at her jokes, instead of turning her down.

What is special with Agnes this time, is the fact that she seemed to react on Sonia falling in love with John. On the very same day, Day37, Agnes' affection towards John started to grow rapidly, and on Day40 she likes him +100 which is max! She is not in love like Sonia is, and John does not return her feelings at all (+24), but this is very interesting progress nevertheless.

Agnes is involved with both currently negative relations in the house, with Arthur and Rita, but none of those are lower than -20, and might be repaired within the next report.
 

We ought to comment on that Agnes didn't do a thing to earn any skill points this time either. She is the one in the SimLOOK house who got less skill points during the stay - zero!

Agnes is extremely playful, so no wonder she had way more fun than the other testSims. She has used most of the fun facilities, such as hot tub, watching tv, playing the pinball game, computer games. she even won on the slot machine.

On Day39 Agnes collapsed in the morning (4 AM) in the hallway upstairs after many attempts to have a nap in the dining room as all beds were taken. The tv was on. She slept on the floor for 3 hours, until the phone woke her up at 7 AM.

Day38, midnight: It's Agnes' IN THE SPOT day, and she is currently asleep in the double bed - alone. She went to bed less than 1 hour ago, and will probably sleep until 6AM. John, Quentin, Sonia and Arthur are sleeping too, but Rita and Rasputiz are still awake, Rasputiz just grilled burgers on the terrace, and Rita who has been playing chess alone for more than 12 hours, and about to collapse, is heading to the terrace. 

While she sleeps, let's see how Agnes is doing in the SimLOOK house. We know her as a playful Sim who can get quite annoying on the others when she is in need of socializing. In the project's beginning she normally ran after Arthur, and they had a very bad period. Agnes is still involved with the only 2 bad relations in the house, Arthur and Rita, both are around -20/-20. On the other hand Agnes' best relation, Magdalena, was chased away some weeks ago. Right now Agnes' best friend is John, who she adores (+78) but who hardly appreciates her being around (+21). It looks a bit frustrating to Agnes that Sonia, who took away her friend Magdalena, now seems to be in love with John. Another special thing about Agnes, is that she is the only one who hasn't gained any skill points at all during 37 days in the house, except from the forced cooking and mechanical studies on Day1 and Day2. She is extremely lazy which seems to result in no interest in studying.

2:30AM both Rita and Rasputiz have gone to bed, and it's very quiet in the house for the next 3.5 hours.

6AM: Everyone who were asleep before midnight wakes up, sonia who is extremely active is out on the floor before Agnes, who is extremely lazy, has opened her eyes. What will this day bring, might Agnes think while she gets out of bed. She is in a rather good mood this morning (+3), and she notices Sonia is out there in the hall way, and wants to talk to her. Sonia goes down with the elevator, and Agnes runs after her down to the FUN-room, now wanting to entertain Sonia. Agnes has other needs she could think of than fun and socializing, so we understand that entertaining is just a way to communicate. Sonia is booing to Agnes' entertaining, their relation is lowered from 3/0 to -4/-15 ! Now Agnes tells Sonia a joke instead, and Sonia laughs, that doesn't help much on their relation though, now Agnes dislikes Sonia -13 (-1/-13).

8:30 AM: Agnes walked over to eat breakfast in the dining room. Quentin was already seated, wearing his swim wear, as usual. Sonia, Arthur and John joined too, it was a quite nice meal. John was seated between Sonia and Agnes, almost like on intention. Agnes talked mainly with Arthur and John. After the meal she left her dirty dish on the table, and returned to the FUN room to play the pinball game. She then brushes teeth twice and uses the toilet, but what she might want to do is taking a shower...

11:30 AM: Agnes has still not been in the shower, but she watered the atrium cactus, and now she just lost §10 on the slot machine. She then goes to the dining room to watch TV (horror), and after some watching she heads over to the FUN room again, in order to hug John! She does, and their relation improves slightly. Agnes plays for a while on the slot machine, then she walks into the bathroom next door to give a back rub to Rasputiz who is currently in the shower.

2 PM Agnes finally gets her shower, and then it's straight to the dining room for dinner with Rita, Rasputiz and Quentin. She talks a lot with Quentin, who even cleans Agnes' dish, while she watches TV. She then uses one of the toilets downstairs, and bets §20 on the slot machine before Rita enters the FUN room claiming the machine. Agnes walks over to the kitchen and drinks some Espresso before she heads to the terrace to clean a burger dish.

It's now 6 PM in the SimLOOK house, Agnes is cleaning on the terrace, Rita and Rasputiz are both playing chess in the library, Sonia is swimming alone in the Gym, Quentin is alone in the hot tub, John is on his way to drink espresso in the kitchen, Arthur is using a toilet downstairs. Except Arthur, all of them are in a pretty good all over mood. At 6:24 PM the Collection Department arrives - too many bills are not paid. Quentin and Arthur are in the hot tub, so they will probably keep it. The Repo man goes upstairs... he repossesses the double bed - again!

Agnes uses the toilet upstairs, then she cleans up the entire burger meal although there's still no flies, and she goes down to the kitchen to throw it in the trash can. Agnes then is the first to want to play a computer game, but before she reaches the library, Arthur has got seated there in order to read a book. Agnes joins John in the hot tub instead, and they talk a lot about the weather.

It is getting late, Agnes eats a late dinner in the dining room, Arthur just served a group meal before he left for bed. Then Agnes uses a toilet again, although there is no need to. Then she loses to the slot machine twice, and at midnight she finally gets seated to play a computer game. Rita and Rasputiz are still in the library playing chess, and John, Quentin, Arthur and Sonia are asleep upstairs.

Rasputiz is still the very serious testSim. He earned many skill points this past period, and he also had some fun. And - he actually joined many a social event, too. He joined some group meals, especially on Day40 he talked a lot with the others. But he also ate dinner alone with Arthur on Day37, and with Sonia on Day39, talking. Even so, Rasputiz didn't manage to make any friends this period either: as a matter of a fact, nobody likes him more than +6, although Rasputiz is fond of both Quentin (52) and John (29).

Rasputiz, still King of Chess, played the game every other day. He doesn't mind playing 12 hors in a row. In the evening of Day36 he got his 10th skill point. He also gained 2 creativity skills from painting on Day36, and the day after he was observed swimming for half an hour - long enough to get him his first body skill. In other words - some very rewarding days for Rasputiz.

Rasputiz naturally had most fun from playing chess, and although his calendar above looks rather boring, he had a fair share of fun this period. He joined some of the others in the hot tub, and on Day39 he played train set with John, then both of them joined Quentin in the hot tub. He also played the flip game with Agnes, won on the slot machine, and was observed reading a book in the library.

Rasputiz was the only one to have a negative mark, as he had a bladder accident in the shower room on Day37. At least he didn't need to walk far to get a shower.
