I do believe in Fate because...

... Everything happens for
a reason. Our fate has already been written out for us and we can't hide
from it. If its meant to happen, it's going to happen.

... fate is the way to the
light. While we are in control of our own choices we are also always doing
what fate designed us to do, but they are your choices, no one can choose
for you. And since it is our choices when cannot say that it is not our
fault.... ... If a person gets told that Water will kill him, then he stays
away from water and soon dies of dehydration, making the prophecy correct.

... we have "things" we have
to do from the start. I believe in both fate and the free will. I believe
that there are certain experiences we have to go through, because we have
a certain lesson to learn, but still we have a free will, because we can
choose the way we are responding to the situacion that are "sent" to us.
We can either grow, or fall, it's all up to us.

... all actions have consequences,
but these are not all our own to control. A drunken driver can wipe me
out on the highway, and I would have no way of preventing his bad driving.
So, I think an even like that could be called Fate. It would be an event
which could have been preventing by leaving the house earlier or later,
etc., but no way to know that.

... I can see the future
sometimes. There are certain things each one of us has to go through life
but everytging else in between is up to us to control. One can control
part of our destiny if you become a good person. Higher beings will have
mercy.

... fate is a four letter
word. Itis a liferaft for those of us who do not wish to take responsibility
for our own lives when the waves get high and the boat starts sinking.
Fate is the perfect excuse!

... Everyone can decide what
to do with their own lifes. If you think that you're supposed to have a
sad and boring life, then that's what you get. You can get everything you
dream of, if you pull yourself together and FIGHT! DO NOT GIVE UP!!!

... as all actions of mine
have a consequence, I can choose to live a certain kind of life which will
give the reward of a clear conscience, happy human relatinships, and so
forth. A man is about as happy as he makes up his mind to be quoth A. Lincoln.
I can choose to be happy, and I can choose to help my neighbor. That will
make each day a success on many levels.

... it's the perfect thing
to blame when someone did something we didn't want to happen, or when we
ourselves have done something we don't want to be responsible for...

... time is linear, if we
can talk about any "fate", it must be the sum of descisions and acting
of all living creatures, all changing on earth and universe from the very
begining, this is the way the world is created, fate is not a part of it,
because fate does not exist... yupp...

I believe we control our
lives (at least to some degree). Choices we make influence the path we
take. To say that it's all in fates hands is equilivant to saying, "It's
not my fault, fate brought me here". No, I believe we make our own destinies.
